Our dedicated research team is driven to provide excellence in the pursuit of scientific advancement while fostering a personal investment in patient relationships and their desire for novel treatment options in the fight against common retina diseases such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Retinal Vein Occlusion. Drs. Alan L. Wagner, MD, FACS, FICS, and Kapil G. Kapoor, MD, FACS, FICS, have been clinical research investigators for over 20 years and participated in numerous trials that helped several once-novel therapies to receive FDA approval and become subsequently available to the general patient population. Under the direction of Dr. Kapoor, the research department has grown significantly over the last 5 years. We currently have a large number of studies examining state-of-the-art treatments and devices over a variety of indications and stages (Phases I - IV). Research participants have the opportunity to receive these therapies prior to their general availability! Patients are encouraged to reach out to a member of the Research Department to see if you're a qualified candidate, and Sponsors/CROs are encouraged to reach out to inquire about study participation.
